Managing Profiles
Profiles are the heart of Launchas. They allow you to save specific layouts for different tasks or monitor configurations.
Adding a Profile
Section titled “Adding a Profile”- Open the main Launchas window.
- Click the + or Add Profile button in the sidebar.
- Enter a descriptive name.
Capturing a Layout
Section titled “Capturing a Layout”The easiest way to set up a profile is to capture your current window arrangement:
- Position your windows exactly where you want them.
- Select your profile in the Launchas window.
- Click Capture Layout.
- The app will record the position, size, and display for each open window.
Manual Adjustments
Section titled “Manual Adjustments”You can fine-tune your profiles by adding or removing specific apps:
- Add App: Click the “Add App” button within a profile to include a new application.
- Remove App: Hover over an app in the list and click the delete icon.
- Update Position: Move a single window and click “Capture” again to update its position.
- Manual Editing: You can also manually edit the coordinates for precise control.
Display Environments
Section titled “Display Environments”Launchas automatically detects your monitor setup.
- Active Environment: Shows which profile is currently optimized for your current display configuration (e.g., Laptop screen only vs. External 4K Monitor).
- Identify Displays: Click this to see a number overlay on each screen, helping you map windows to specific monitors.
